As The Silver Fox gets to grips with Brevity, Arkham looks on in approval - it's getting too chilly to spend too much time outside, after all (and he's too afflicted with machismo to wear a little coat). Sadly, nobody ELSE seems to be reining in THEIR less reprehensible qualities this week...

Episode 37: The City Of Frozen Death

From their rural bower, Foxy and Arkham bemoan the lack of usable newsflesh left behind by the carrion-crazed media's feeding frenzy at this week's Conservative Party Conference. For all that though, they did manage to find a Prime Ministerial claim that might well be one of his biggest whoppers ever. There's also some rather exciting news about the future of "Discontent Provider"... 

Episode 36: Testament of a Troilist

This week, Foxy and Arkham throw open the doors of the Happy Place (not literally, you understand; it's outside, and there aren't actually any doors to throw open) to the most despised and scorned members of society - because ultimately, nobody is irredeemable, and a helping hand at the right time might be all that's needed to set a cat or kitten on the right course. They do, however, draw the line at certain Home Secretaries who will remain nameless...

Episode 35: The Coffin That Wouldn’t Stay Buried

In what appears to be the longest sesh we've yet inflicted upon an all-too-forgiving Public, The Silver Fox and Arkham examine the hysteria and political factionalism surrounding Russell Brand's fall from - well, not "grace" exactly, but the cat is fo' def' plummeting... They also find time to SKEWER (as the tabloids say) the Prime Minister, and for Foxy to deliver what has to be the oddest performance of his life. A packed show, all in all.

Episode 34: Memories of Melancholia

It's been a rum sort of week, all in all: action movie excitement, secret agents unearthed in the highest of high circles, and the Nation's premier provider of pick'n'mix and self-tapping screws going kerblooey. Could there be a connection? Almost certainly not; but for all that, the lads in the Happy Place don't like the look of ANY of it...

They're even Happier than usual to be in their Happy Place - and not just because they're stuck in the ungodly horror of International Travel and haven't been (possibly) eighty-sixed by the Kremlin.  Sadly, as Summer dies, so do musical instruments - so this week's Song At The End features the literal death-rattle of a harmonica.
